If he could you can too

Erek Hansen, 9 years old, organized a denim drive that collected nearly 1,700 pairs of jeans, part of a drive organized by National Geographic Kids Magazine to set a world record for the most items of clothing collected for recycling. The official record was set with 33,088 denim jeans, shirts, jackets and hats that will be turned into home insulation.

Día del animal.

http://bucket3.glanacion.com/anexos/fotos/62/2194662w620.jpg

Good news for the giant tortoises!

Here is the most fantastic news report in a while. Giant tortoises from Galapagos islands are no longer in dager of becoming exctinct! The report says: "The island is now home to over 1,500 of the giants. This is a far cry from just fifty years ago, when the population of the saddle-backed shell tortoises that once used to inhabit  Española Island in the thousands, had been reduced to just 15". This video can be found in the article too.
