Good news for the giant tortoises!
Here is the most fantastic news report in a while. Giant tortoises from Galapagos islands are no longer in dager of becoming exctinct! The report says: "The island is now home to over 1,500 of the giants. This is a far cry from just fifty years ago, when the population of the saddle-backed shell tortoises that once used to inhabit Española Island in the thousands, had been reduced to just 15".
